"We, the ones who are challenged, need to be heard. To be seen not as a disability, but as a person who has and will continue to bloom. To be seen not only as a handicap, but as a well intact human being."

Nemo’s Reef provides a safe and well-structured environment while embracing a person-centered philosophy. Services are tailored to meet the needs of the people we serve. Our purpose is to support all individuals by providing consistent and effective services and support in an outings based day program.

It is our mission to empower and support people with disabilities. We believe that every person should make decisions that directly affect their lives. With the application of sound principles such as compassion, fairness, integrity, and self-determination, we can provide a positive environment for those we care for.

COMMUNITY INTEGRATION

We are driven to get out of the house and have fun! Planned trips in the community are offered throughout the week including bowling, public library, museums, zoo, shopping centers, arcades, and more!

PERSON CENTERED

Everything we do revolves around the people. We not only focus on the plans set forth in an individual's ISP, but we also listen to ideas around our activities to ensure the best experience for everyone. We are here for YOU.

SOCIALIZATION

Let's get acquainted! We work in smaller groups throughout the day to learn more about each other. Such activities include arts and crafts, morning exercises, reading group, garden club, socialization games and groups, exploring hobbies, and more!

Wonderful staff who REALLY care and go out of their way to make the days of their clients very special. I feel that my daughter is safe and cared for.

Around a year ago we were very concerned on Alicia needing to find a new day program with the planned closing of the Jergens Center. For over 7 years Alicia did very well there and had great providers keeping her safe and happy. The good vibe we had in touring Nemo's and meeting the staff turned out the be the real deal. Very quickly, Alicia adapted to the setting, staff, and fellow clients. We see from the daily posts smiling pictures of Alicia enjoying her day at Nemo's or one of the many community outings. Alicia has the ability to steal your heart with her smile and personality - she seems to have worked her magic again at Nemo's. A big thank you to all of the staff at Nemo's!

My uncle Dana goes to Nemo's Reef. He lives with me and I jokingly call him my uncle-son. I love him as if he was my child because well, really he is.

I'm an over the road truck driver so I don't get to see Dana every day. Through the photos though and updates on what you all do I get to see how his day went. I get to see the smile of genuine happiness and know that he is going to a really good place with people who really care. Thank you so much for that.
